Winter Wedding 2019 by Pronovias

Whimsical winter brides

One of the most magical and special seasons of the year is wintertime. Year after year, more and more brides set the date during the winter months, since they can also include other details in their look to make it even more unique.“I love winter weddings because they offer infinite possibilities: sleeves, capes, stoles, gloves, ankle boots… We shouldn’t forget that the weddings closest to the winter holidays will allow us to surprise everyone even more with an elegant look, glamorous accessories, while playing with an unusual décor. Beading and shimmers reminisce ice, while we fight the cold under capes, hoods, sleeves, and coats that become the star accessories”.
Hervé Moreau, Pronovias Artistic Director, shares his advice for the perfect winter bride look:

Characteristic elements of weddings during this time of the year are hoods, capes, and jackets. These are perfectly integrated in the ambiance and give the bride a touch of mystery and magic, which reminds us of fairy tales. These details have been included among some of this collection’s designs, in which we may find beaded hoods, capes that fall from the shoulders, or sleeves and coats crafted out of white chiffon petals that turn the bride into a true snow queen.

Other very useful accessories are eco fur stoles and feather coats, wich are perfect for winter weddings since they look stunning with any dress style.

It’s the perfect moment to wear and enjoy long sleeves. An extremely elegant element that will also protect you from low temperatures. In crepe with an elegant embroidery in beading and lace, or with details on the cuffs… You have many and varied options so that all brides may find their ideal dress.

You can also discover the option of using detachable long sleeves, to adapt your dress to each part of your wedding, or majestic open sleeves that create a breath-taking cape effect.

The first dance can be magical thanks to the shimmers created by a beaded bodice and back under the bright lights. White floral hand-made embroideries create a delicate frosted effect that forms a winter garden. For more discreet brides, the solution lies in adding details such as silver beaded belts or appliqués to a simpler dress.

Combinations with different skirts and bodices. Long sleeves, beading, deep or closed necklines combine perfectly with fuller tulle, mikado or feather skirts, or even more fitted ones in crepe or lace.

Mikado, crepe or top-quality satin become the best ally for winter brides thanks to their sober and regal look.
